School Tours

Orr’s Farm Market supports healthy eating in our schools and communities. We welcome groups to learn about our produce and how to use it! We offer several packages for school groups, preschool classes, MOPS groups, 4-H clubs or other groups. Please Send an email to receive more detailed information. We can customize our activities to fit your group’s needs.
 

For Fast Check-In-Please have a head count and all your money for students, parents, and siblings totaled and with your group leader.

"Spookley The Pumpkin" Field Trip

Available September 20-October 31      

Scheduled Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays by 
appointment only! 

This year our field trips will all be the "Spookley the Square Pumpkin" anti-bullying campaign theme. This story will be promoted through different activities at the farm, and will also include the         following: 

• Pumpkin Varieties 
• Pumpkin Parts 
• Tour of the Farm Market 
• Learn About Apple Varieties 
• Hayride to see Apple Trees  
• Livestock Viewing Area 
• See how a Pumpkin Grows 
• Pick One 
• Various Games/Activities in Pumpkin Patch 
• Taste a few Types of Apples 
• Apple Cider


 

 

Students will leave with a Goody Bag containing 1 coloring book, crayons, sticker, and a small pumpkin. Teachers will receive 1 class pumpkin and 1 gallon of cider per class. 

This field trip is appropriate for Pre-K through 4th grade preferably. Older groups will be accommodated. 

Each wagon will hold up to 30 people. If you need to book multiple wagons, please email info@orrsfarmmarket.com and we can combine several wagons for your group. 

Approximate time is 2 to 2.5 hours. 

Student admission is $7.25 for groups of 16 students or more. Teacher, aide, and bus drivers are free admission. Parents are $4.50 which includes tour and snack but does include goodie bag or fruit. 

  • Restroom Facilities Provided
  • Located about 5 miles from Poorhouse Farm Park if groups want to visit their campgrounds/playground for lunch afterward
  • Photo Opportunities


All groups are welcome, however our haywagons are not currently wheelchair accessible. Please contact us if you have any further questions. 

NOTE:
Please have each child wear an identification tag which includes their name and the name of the school. Stress the importance of dressing properly. They may need to wear boots or coats, depending on the weather.

Strawberry Field Trip

Available May 24-June 10

Includes:
  • Hayride to view our Buffalo Herd
  • Tour of Farm Market Tour of Gardens-Learn how crops are grown and view different 
bushes, vines, trees, etc.
  • Healthy Strawberry Snack
  • Pick a Pint of Strawberries
  • Goodie Bag with Coloring Book, Crayons, Sticker, and Recipe for Snack
  • Groups are welcome to bring picnic blankets and have lunch here as well
  • Restroom Facilities Provided
  • Located about 5 miles from Poorhouse Farm Park if groups want to visit their campgrounds/playground for lunch afterward
